A visible milestone in building the innovation ecosystem of the Port of Rotterdam.
Drivers entering the Europoort industrial area will now see Sinko Innovation & Development prominently displayed on the official company signage at Havens 5500–5700, alongside established industrial companies including Gunvor Energy Rotterdam, Mammoet Ferry Transport and Sita Recycling Services.
While it may appear to be just a new sign, it represents something much bigger: the arrival of a new innovation hub dedicated to accelerating the energy transition and the circular economy.
Following the acquisition and transformation of the former Kuwait Petroleum Research & Technology site, Sinko Innovation & Development (Sinko ID) is creating an open innovation campus where start-ups, scale-ups, technology developers, industrial partners and investors can collaborate to bring new industrial technologies from concept to commercial reality. The 40,000 m² campus offers laboratories, workshops, offices and test facilities designed to help innovative companies grow and scale.
Being included on the official Europoort entrance signage is more than a practical addition—it is a symbolic milestone. It reflects Sinko ID’s growing presence within one of Europe’s largest industrial and energy clusters and reinforces its commitment to supporting the next generation of industrial innovation.

The initiative aligns with the Port of Rotterdam’s ambition to strengthen innovation and accelerate the transition towards a low-carbon industrial ecosystem.
The new sign therefore marks more than a new tenant—it marks the beginning of a new chapter. As Sinko ID continues to expand its network of partners and resident companies, its presence in Europoort is becoming increasingly visible, both physically and within the international innovation community.
